The Dragon Prince
The Dragon Prince is one of my very favorite shows on Netflix so if you haven’t watched it yet, please remedy that. It’s a surprisingly complex (and very charming) epic fantasy about the magical land of Xadia. It’s terrific.
Recently, Wonderstorm announced a tabletop RPG set in the world of Xadia. Now, the company has revealed a second tabletop miniatures game.
The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged is a board game with eight miniatures (both heroes and villains). According to the press release: “Players control their miniatures on six different battle maps, playing cards to unleash attacks and special abilities. Brotherwise Games will offer the game for pre-order on its website in June, ahead of a Fall release at game stores around the world.”
The base game will add expansions later on, presumably supplementing the game with more battle maps, cards and minis.
Wonderstorm supplied me with this exclusive image of Soren’s miniature and artwork from the game:
You can see some of Soren’s ability cards here, as well as the six-sided die and mini. I like the idea of a combination of miniatures, cards and dice which should make for some cool strategic gameplay.
Soren also happens to be one of my favorite characters—the “Jaime Lannister” of the series, if you will.
Now we just need some news on the next season!
